"It’s all I've known to do” said Tony Booth recently. “I did my first radio show on August 14, 1962 just before starting my freshman year in high school. Over 50 years later, I wake up every morning and can't wait to do another radio show!"
I hope you know how much I love and appreciate your loyalty to my work and the show. Radio announcing is a labor of love for me…honestly, more of an avocation than a vocation.
Let me thumb a ride home with you afternoons as I play Richmond's Greatest Hits on Big Oldies 107.3. The fun starts weekdays at 3pm.

Upcoming Personal Appearances
TUESDAY, APRIL 8: Mark your calendars for Tuesday night, April 8 for RON MOODY and your's truly to do another talk on "The History Of Rock 'n' Roll!"
In the first hour, the year was 1961...the Berlin Wall was being built, The "Bay of Pigs" incident was an unmitigated disaster, the Soviets put the first man in space (remember this name: Yuri Gagarin). Dick Clark was still in Philadelphia and among the guests to lip sync their hits around the week of April 8 were Jay and the Americans doing "She Cried", Neil Sedaka performed "King of Clowns" (remember that one? neither do I). King Curtis did "Soul Twist" and the Crystals performed "Uptown."
So, as you can see, RON and I will talk about 1961 and the top hits that years, listen to TV shows premiering that year, commercials on the radio and TV.
The second hour is a salute to the influence of New Orleans music. Names like Louis Armstrong, Fats Domino, Dave Bartholomew, Louis Prima, Shirley & Lee, Huey 'Piano' Smith, Mahalia Jackson, Al Hirt, Irma Thomas, Pete Fountain, Dr. John, Wynton and Branford Marsales, Harry Connick, Jr., The Neville Brothers, Randy Newman, Allen Toussaint all have ties to the Crescent City. RON and I will explore the Rock 'n' Roll roots of New Orleans.
