I must be one of the luckiest guys in the world! I'm doing what I love to do - every morning on Big Oldies 107.3! I'm a child of the 60's in Pittsburgh, with the influence of historically great KQV as my inspiration. I spun 45's in my basement and "pretended" to be on the radio. Then, it was off to Emerson College in Boston, where I landed my first paying job on the air! My rich 42 year history in the radio business has taken me coast to coast, in great cities like Los Angeles, Houston, Tucson, back to Pittsburgh and more. But there's no bigger opportunity for fun than here in Richmond. My family, my young son and daughter, enjoy sunshine, playing in the park, fishing, beaches, and Big Oldies. Thanks for welcoming me into your family's radio every morning for Richmond's Greatest Hits on Big Oldies 107.3! Check out Jim's Morning Show Page!

“It’s all I have ever known to do” said Tony Booth recently. “I started radio announcing in Paris, Texas my freshman year in high school. I was 13 at the time which is young for being a freshman but in those days parents could pay to send their child to school if their birthday was before December 31.”
In these 48 years, I would love to tell everyone that I sincerely appreciate them allowing me for these many years to do what I truly love to do. Radio announcing is a labor of love for me…honestly, more of an avocation than a vocation.
Come along for the commute home afternoons with me here on Big Oldies 107.3. The fun starts weekdays at 3pm.
